Youth Opportunity Program

The Youth Opportunity Project (YOP) is a stay in school initiative currently offered at Children of the Earth. YOP delivers pre-employment training, leadership development, life skills workshops and strives to expose our students to their social responsibilities. Each year the program accepts twenty-five students on a continual intake basis. The students are provided a small honorarium biweekly for their time in the program.

Much of the learning is reinforced though their volunteer opportunities in the local community. The program has maintained and established partnerships with the community organizations and local resident associations. It is though these partnerships that the students have their volunteer placements.
