Todd Schwartz, U.S. Consul in Winnipeg, has presented a cheque for $13,120 to the Western Canada Aviation Museum to enable the exhibition entitled:

  Orville and Wilbur:
 The Wright Brothers' Legacy
  

to be on display starting February 7, 2004 for ten weeks until April 18.

The exhibit is composed of images from three private collections from Cincinnati, the Wright State University special archives and the private collection of Jacques Perier, Paris, France.  It includes 25 lithographs from a French collector, 74 rare photographs from France, Italy, Germany, and USA, and the historic image of the first flight by the Orville Wright on December 17, 1903 showing an image in flight during the 12 seconds over the 120 feet.  
A sample of the exhibit shows 8 features including posters and photos that can be enlarged. 

Hours: Monday to Saturday 10 am to 4 pm, 
               Sunday and Holidays 1 pm to 4 pm

Winnipeg is the only Canadian city for this once in a lifetime exhibit.  It will return to private collectors after this.
