Todd Schwartz, U.S. Consul in Winnipeg, has presented a cheque for $13,120 to the Western Canada Aviation Museum to enable the exhibition entitled: Orville and
Wilbur: to be on display starting February 7, 2004 for ten weeks until April 18. The exhibit is composed of images from three private collections from
Cincinnati, the Wright State University special archives and the private
collection of Jacques Perier, Paris, France. It
includes 25 lithographs from a French collector, 74 rare photographs from
France, Italy, Germany, and USA, and the historic image of the
first flight by the Orville Wright on December 17, 1903 showing an image in
flight during the 12 seconds over the 120 feet. Hours:
