Karthala Volcano in Comoros, Africa
The volcano began spewing ash and gas on April 17, 2005, forcing as many as 10,000 people to flee.

Mount Anatahan
The fourteen islands of the Northern Mariana Islands, including Anatahan, form a U.S. territory.  Anatahan is located in the Northern Mariana Islands in the North Pacific Ocean and has been responsible for blanketing Guam and other nearby islands with volcanic haze.
