Each year on December 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, awards are made for the Nobel Prizes at the Award event.  This festive day of the Nobel Foundation, 10th of December, is held on the anniversary of the death of the testator, and presents  Diplomas and Medals along with the Prize Amounts.  Announcements are made in the Fall for the prizes.

Biologist Wins Nobel Prize For DNA Work 
American Roger Kornberg won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for his work explaining how cells use genetic information to make proteins.  Lesson plan includes initiating, reading comprehension and discussion questions.
