Scientific literacy is an evolving combination of the science-related attitudes, skills, and knowledge.
Students need to develop inquiry, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, to become lifelong learners, and to maintain a sense of wonder about the world around them.  (Pan-Canadian Science Framework, page 4)

This new Science topic of Genome Theory is a revolution in the way life is understood and in the way scientific information is available online.  IT helps schools contact the latest developments and us in touch with this emerging scientific theory, the researchers involved and related news stories.  These links compliment text book based learning and are part of the new wave of IT Web based learning.

A special thanks to W. Lukie, Science Teacher, Sargent Park Junior High School, for his continued interest in Genome Theory and following its' developments online.

In the Grade 8 "Cells and Systems" thematic unit, cluster 1, the following will be a resource for classes.
