Discipline

Discipline Policy

All staff members are responsible for the behaviour of all children in the school, and have similar expectations for behaviour.  Rules for the school and individual classrooms are simple, clear and carefully explained to children.

When a child does not meet the behaviour expectations, the following procedures are undertaken:

1.  The staff member deals with the child

2.  The staff member and administrator deal with the child

3.  The staff member and/or the administrator meet with the child's parents to discuss the child's behaviour and formulate strategies for a change.

School discipline is viewed as a learrning process, with the aim of developing responsibility, accountability and self-discipline.
