Long, long ago near a lake there lived a beaver. He loved to play by the lake. He also liked to eat wood a lot. He had a friend named Stomp the elephant. The beavers name was Splash. The elephant went beside the water. He put some water in his trunk and he showed Splash how to throw the water. One day Splash tricked Stomp  then Stomp chased him. The next day Stomp planed to trick Splash. He set a trap deep in the forest by Splashes house. Splash got caught in the trap. A rock came down and flattened Splash’s tail. And that is the legend of how the beaver got a flat tail.
