Bullrushes

Students in room 117 created these bullrushes with the help of their classroom teacher and the south district art consultant. First they observed a pot of bullrushes. Then they drew the bullrushes with a pencil on black construction paper. Using white glue they traced their pencil drawing. This resulted in the black outline. The students filled in the bullrushes with chalk pastels. The students viewed many different sunset backgrounds of art prints. They then chose 2 colours to blend to create their own sunset background.
