| This conference offered day-long learning workshops in dance, Music,
Drama, Visual Art and Aboriginal Arts. The workshops were planned and presented by Music
Consultant Trisha Penner (Music), ELA Consultant James Gray (drama), Brock Corydon Teacher
Leah Braemer (dance), Literacy Through the Arts Teacher Lidi Kuiper (visual art) and South
District Aboriginal Support Teacher Jacquie Minot (Aboriginal). All the teachers from the "Integrated Arts Study Group" participated in the workshop sessions. Each teacher invited 4 of their own students to be part of the conference. Teachers & children worked together to explore a variety of ways to learn about the arts. (20 teachers and 80 children were involved). The day concluded with activities and were shared in a session in the large gym at Carpathia School at 2:15. |
