Patrols:
Our highly
competent grades 5 and 6 student patrols, under the able supervision and
guidance of our diligent student captains ensure that students and their
families cross Corydon Avenue safely. |

Council:
Student
council reps from each grade 1-6 classroom meet once a month. At these
meetings, discussions center around what the students bring to the table
ranging from playground issues to classroom and school-related activities.
These young political leaders take their roles seriously offering creative
ideas and suggestions. |

UNESCO
ASPnet:
These
student reps from each grade 1-6 classroom meet once a month. At these
meetings, students have an opportunity to develop a global perspective on
issues affecting their everyday lives and to develop initiatives that will
promote peace through local, national and international partnerships in the
areas of world issues, human rights, democracy and tolerance, intercultural
learning and environmental issues. |

Ambassadors
for Peace:
Our grade 5 & 6 students volunteer to go outside at recess time to
organize games with other children. |

Library
Assistants:
Our grades 5
& 6 Library assistants help keep the Library clean and orderly. They volunteer
during their recess times to put books back in the right spots on the book
shelves. |

Technology
Assistants:
These grade 5 & 6 students help set up the sound system for all
assemblies and special school events. |

Book Club:
Grades 2-4
students meet over their lunch hours to read and discuss an assortment of
books. |

Poetry Book
Editors:
These grade 1-6 students compile poetry written by students, staff,
parents and other published poems for our school’s poetry book. |

Assembly
Participants:
These students from Grades 1-6 participate in leading our
school assemblies. |

Gardeners:
Students from Grades 1-6 take care of our outdoor classroom gardens.

Environmental Action Team:
These
Grade 1-6 students ensure that the recycling program at school is successful
and that students are made aware of environmental issues. |

O Canada
Singers:
Students
have an opportunity to to sing O Canada during morning announcements. |

Extra-curricular Clubs:
Students in Grades 1-6 are involved
in a variety of clubs during the lunch hour or after school such as: Physical
Education Intramurals and Division Intermurals, Debating, Basketball,
Computer, Choir, Recorder, Magazine, Chess, Art, Drama, Writing, Running,
Skating, Skipping, Ultimate Frisbee, and many more. |
