The United Nations Educational Scientific Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is an organization that encourages international peace by promoting collaboration between nations. In order to translate these ideas into concrete action, UNESCO launched the Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet) in 1953. As of September 2005, it includes over 7,793 educational institutions, ranging from pre-school education to teacher training in 175 countries. The Manitoba schools involved in ASPnet are:

National ASPnet Schools: 
Brock Corydon, College Jeanne Sauvé, John Pritchard, River East Collegiate and Vincent Massey.

Candidate ASPnet schools:
Al Hijra, Saint-Jean Baptiste, Silver Heights, Stevenson-Britannia, St. James Collegiate, College Pierre Elliot Trudeau, St. Emile
