"Bits and Bytes" Information Page

"Bits and Bytes" is now in its twenty-third year as a resource to educators. This newsletter is published nine times each school year throughout the months of October through June by the Educational Technology department of the Winnipeg School Division. Check the Divisional home page, after the third Wednesday of each month, to peruse a new monthly issue of this educational resource.

The purpose of "Bits and Bytes" is to provide a mechanism for sharing tips, techniques and resources to allow individuals to utilize technology to enhance education. Views and opinions expressed herein are those of the editor's and do not necessarily represent those of the Winnipeg School Division. Material in this publication may be reproduced, without permission, providing proper credit is given.

Since this newsletter is also produced in "hard copy" format (for a limited number of educators in the Winnipeg School Division), proper pagination is important. For this reason, "Bits and Bytes" was initially written to be viewed with Netscape since this was the first browser to incorporate a very powerful and useful "Print Preview" option. However, with the release of Internet Explorer 6, the editor now uses Microsoft's browser to view and test the newsletter's "hard copy" pagination.

Please note that all links were active and accurate at the time of publication. However the World Wide Web is a growing, dynamic entity and, as such, web addresses and resources will change. If users find links which no longer function, please e-mail the editor so that an attempt can be made to keep the information provided in these issues of "Bits and Bytes" as current and accurate as possible.
