Argyle’s Infant Lab
By Janet Didsbury and Dave Taylor
Argyle Alternative High School supports an infant lab so that young parents can have the opportunity to complete their high school education. The lab can accommodate up to 8 babies between the ages of 2 months to 2 years. We offer parental support and counseling on developmental issues for the parents. Those enrolled in the program receive a .5 credit for their participation.
In order to maintain their position in the program parents must communicate with the school if they are absent or late, maintain a good academic standing, and a minimum of 65% attendance.
The Infant Lab is a place where parents and their babies can feel a sense of safety, encouragement and support for growth and learning.
We strive to be the best we can be, so that the lab will be a comfortable place to come to.
The babies we have are adorable, and the moms bring their uniqueness and special qualities that make it a special place. We share ideas, mentoring and actively interact during play-time.
