In this assignment students begin by writing a short analysis of a song of their choice. They are required to discuss such elements as the theme of the song, the style of the music, and how it affects the listener. They also explore their interpretation and how they relate to it. Then students shoot themselves against a blue screen in the video production classroom. Students import their video into iMovie and begin choosing pictures, video and music that relate to the project. They then apply a blue screen effect filter to the video of themselves and incorporate the media they have downloaded. The blue screen method allows the student's image to be superimposed over other media they have chosen.
