When entering the attendance, simply remove the person from your attendance by clicking on delete. Do not mark this person absent, as it will artificially lower your attendance percentage, information that is sent to the province every month. This is also what you have to do when a person never attended your class, like at the beginning of a new year or term. Do not mark these students absent, even for the first few days. Students are to be marked absent only after they attend one class. The reason for the delay is that it takes a few days to receive the paperwork in the courier, and once it does arrive, it is to processed in the order they were received. It may also be a matter of the paperwork not being done or handed in. If after two weeks the student continues to appear on your register, then and only then, email Joanne at jewbank@wsd1.org, informing her of the situation. For evening staff, simply speak to Jordan. Do not fill out another withdrawal form. Remember, delete the student from your attendance, do not mark them absent once are to be withdrawn.
