WORLD WAR II WEBQUEST

INTRODUCTION

Imagine that it is 1945, Canada has been at war with Germany for six years. You have just turned 18 and have recently received a letter in the mail from the Canadian government asking you to join the army.

TASK

You must decide whether you should join the Canadian army and leave for Europe. You will write a letter to the Canadian army and you will tell them whether you have decided to join or not.

PROCESS

Before you come to your decision and write your letter to the army, you must do some research on the Second World War. Follow the instructions below as they will help you to find the websites that will help you in answering the questions that you seek about the World War.

DECISION TIME

Now that we have researched some of the facts about World War II, we can answer the letter that we received from the Canadian government. Should you join the army and fight in the war in Europe? Write a short letter to the Canadian army General explaining what your decision is and why you made that decision.
