Students began by making a map of what they already knew about the areas they would be studying. It was discovered that the students knew little about the area. Students in Room 5-21 began researching Toronto, Niagara Falls and the Great Lakes Region. They are trying to decide whether it would be a good thing for their families to move there. They brainstormed a list of questions that would help them make their decisions. To help guide their research Mrs. Gentes has made some web guides to help them. Students researched the areas using the Internet, Electronic CD's and books form our school library. They recorded their information as a pro or con of moving there on a research recording form. Students also searched for pictures that they would like to draw to include on their web page.
