Tommy Prince

Tommy Prince is a hero because he won many medals in the wars.
 
Early Life:
Tommy Prince's Great Great Grandfather was Chief Peguis.  He was born in Petersfield, Manitoba in October 1915.  Prince went hunting when he was young and learned how to track things.  He attened Elkhorn Residential School and received a Grade 8 education.  After school he became a lumberjack.
 
Later Life:
He was joined the Royal Canadian Engineers in June 1940.  Then he was promoted to Lance Corporal in February 1941.  In September of 1942 Tommy Prince came back to Canada and joined the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.  He was promoted to Sargaent and then went for training in Montana. His unit was  attached to the U.S. Special Forces.  In 1950 Tommy Prince joined the Korean War.  Tommy Prince died at the Deer Lodge Hospital in November 1977.
 
Accomplishments:
Tommy Prince had won 10 medals, two were for the Korean War.  In the Korean war. The medals he won were the Korea medal and the United Nations Service Medal. Tommy Prince had also won the Military Medals in 1939 - 1945 , Italy Star, France & German Stars.  He had also won the Defence Medal, and had joined the Canadian Volunteer Service. Tommy Prince also won the Korean Volunteer medal in 1950 - 1954.  Tommy Prince destroyed 4 German stations.
