Manitoba Heroes

Room 5-21 has been researching Manitoba Heroes.  Staff and students first brainstormed a list of 30 prominent Manitobans and then students defined what a hero was to them.  They said that:

A Hero is man or women who has courage, a good
heart and does good deeds. We look up to them.

The students briefly researched each Manitoban and presented their "hero" to their class. The students then voted on which nine heroes they wanted to include on their web page. Most research was completed electronically. Pictures were taken with the digital camera or drawn and scanned in.

bulletPlease note that these web pages were a Grade 5 project with a limited scope.  We hope not to offend anyone with any information presented or left unsaid.
