| Burton Cummings is a hero because he is a gifted
singer and he makes people proud to be Canadian like him. |

Early Life:
He was born on December 31,1947. He went to St. John's
High School. He was in a band called the "Devrons" when he
was in High School. He sang with "The Guess Who". |

Later Life:
He performed at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in 1994. He
lives in L.A. and still performs. |

Cummimgs Community Center and the other one is a print of
Burton Cummings hands.

Accomplishments:
There is a community club named after him in Winnipeg
Manitoba. He has earned 33 songwriting awards and in
1989 was awarded the Wm. Harold Moon Award for
Career Achievement. "The Guess Who" hosted a CBC
Teen Variety Show.
Some of Burton Cummings records are called 'Up Close And
Alone' and 'The Burton Cummings Collection'. |
 
We took these pictures at Burton Cummings Community
center.
The one on the left we took in the office and the one on
the right we took from the trophy case. In this picture
he was a Celebrity Captain for the Winnipeg Jets.
