I'm a geo teacher at *
in * and was looking through the net for Wabush Mine photos.
As a university student, I got a job at Wabush Mines and worked as a
blaster's helper in the mine. Like you I was amazed at the size of the trucks!
Even more exciting for me was that they let me set off the blasts to
fracture the rocks for the week's digging.
I copied your truck photo to use in my classes when we do mining in
Canada, so thanks for your help.

Always a Guess Who and Burton Cummings admirer, I managed to catch Burton and
Big Daddy Gary McLane (spelling?) on Winnipeg radio station am 580.
I really enjoyed listening to him talk about his experiences. Anyway, I'm
48 years old, run my own business, and rarely go to the mall or record shops.
However, my daughter has set me up with napster, and I've found it much
easier to acquire some music I love, without leaving my house.
My problem is that I still don't feel good about "sharing" the
music without paying the artist or record company something.
Although I own some of the Guess Who and Burton's tapes and records, I've
downloaded about 8 more songs of theirs, and would like to send a payment direct
to Burton if you know where I should send it. (mailing address, etc.)Thanks in
