What is the ovoid shape and what is it mainly used for in this art form.  How are the colours of red and black used?  What creatures are sometimes found in the eyes of Haida art?

They discuss Haida art as being in two forms flat design and sculpture. In the section of flat design on this web site they show platters carved by the artists Charles Edenshaw and John Robson….do you similarities in these patterns.

In the sculpture section is a black and white photo of totems, what figures do you see in these totems.  In the notes he tells that the flat design artist have also carved totems.
