Up Poems 3

Big City

                        Manitoba, Canada,

     Fast, Loud, Powerful,

Winnipeg

Winnipeg

Small

Quiet

Cold Weather

Winnie the Pooh

Home

Winterpeg

                                   freezing city

in Winnipeg,

                  cold, frosty, lonely,

Winter

Winnipeg

Blowing, Dark, Noisy

Streets of Winnipeg city

Canadian cross roads

City

Freezing

Winnipeg

Sunshine, Crisp air

West

                                        Our city

Among the Red and Assiniboine rivers

               Cold, lonely, bright

     Winnipeg

Winterpeg

In Winnipeg, the days go slow.

Listening to the noise under your feet,

The crunching of the snow.

People being welcomed,

In the crisp, cold air,

Other people polluting streets,

Which is just not fair.

Winnipeg has its ups, and downs.

They have their big smiles,

They have their small frowns.

This is how I live in Winnipeg,

I just go with the flow.

It can be boring and fun,

Trust me, I know.

Winterpeg

Snow covered trees extending their arms,

arching over the cold frigid streets.

Blinding snow whirling in the crisp cool air,

making Winnipeggers aware.

Of the traffic jams, roadblocks,

and other mishaps that are there.

Children bundled in warm winter wear throwing snowballs,

without the slightest of care.

This is what I see of Winnipeg

 through a long gazing stare.
