1. What is your first name and what is your profession?

My first name is Elizabeth and I work at Shoppers Drug Mart. I am a pharmacy technician.

2. What does your job consist of?

My job is to count pills and medication, helps customers, and cashes out.

3. Does your job involve using mathematics in any way?

Yes, to make sure that I have the correct number of pills in each vile. Giving the wrong dosage might make people more sick. I have to know the metric system to fill prescriptions for creams and liquids. I have to know how to make change when people are purchasing medication and other items from the store.

4. When you were in school did you ever think you would use mathematics in your everyday life and your job?

Yes, I realized that numbers and mathematic concepts are used in all jobs and in our every day life.
