My first name is Amy and I am a Supervisor

2. What does your job consist of?

I look after the food stocks for the food court at silver city which is a mega theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I monitored the amounts of certain foods that are used in the venues in the food court. I also have to order large stocks of food for the vendors.

3. Does your job involve using mathematics in any way?

Yes. I need to know how much food would be needed to used and how much it would cost. I also need to know how to use a cash register and make change. At the end of the day I would count how much money we made that day.

4. When you were in school did you ever think you would use mathematics in your everyday life and in your job?

Yes, because the teachers in junior high told me that mathematics can be found in all kinds of jobs.
