The Sargent Park School Library is very well staffed. Mrs. Dawson is the
Teacher\Librarian who works with the Grade 5-S1 students. This is her sixth year
at Sargent Park. She is in the library every day. Some of her other
responsibilities are running a MYRCA book club, teaching a Cross Grade Tutoring
Course with S1 and Grade 4 students, and she also teaches one Grade 2 Physical
Education class.
Mrs.
Einarson is also a Teacher\Librarian and she works with our students in Nursery
to Grade 4. She has been at Sargent Park for a number of years and in that time
she has taught at a variety of grade levels. This is her sixth year in the library
and she is here on every odd day of the cycle. She teaches her students basic
library skills, does story time and holds enrichment classes at all these grade
levels.
Mrs.
Anderson is our current library clerk. She is here every day of the cycle
and supervises all our book
exchanges as well as the day to day work in the library. Mrs. Anderson also
manages our student assistant program where we annually have well over 150
students from Grade 4-S1 who do all our shelving of books for us on a daily
basis. Mrs. Anderson has come to Sargent Park from Sister MacNamara and John M.
King schools where she has worked for the previous five years.
Before that she was on the substitute list and received her initial
library training at Cecil Rhodes where she worked as a Parent volunteer
for 15 years.
