Day 4 - April 25 This was the day we drove to Banff National Park. The first stop on the trip was the Banff Gondola, which took us to an elevation of 7, 486 feet until we were on top of the mountain. We stayed up there for a few hours, standing on the observation deck, eating at the restaurants, enjoying the scenery, and browsing the gift shop. A bit later, we came back down again off the mountain, again traveling down 5,120 feet of wire cable until we reached the ground. We took a few pictures in front of the Brewster Ice Explorer bus that traverses the Vancouver Ice Fields, then we loaded the bus again, and drove into the town of Banff. The teachers then turned us loose for a few hours, allowing us to shop, eat, and do pretty much whatever. Finally, at the end of the day, everyone was tired and happy at the way the day had gone.
