Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics
Web Based
Learning at Sargent Park School
prepared by Mr. Lambert
Date revised: September 26, 2000
Note: Many teachers have asked for the Media sites that give
results for each event. I have added these links and moved their
loaction to the top on this webpage.

Media Web Pages - I AM Canadian
Many Canadian Media web sites give information by
Sport and cross reference it with the individual
athletes (Female and Male) or the Team and its'
members.
The biographies from the sites can be compared and compiled for
your research objectives. CBC and Canada
at Sydney are great assets and fun to use. We will see
which sites give us the competition results in the ways we like
to see on the internet compared to their ususal media
presentations.
The Media web sites give current news and results. Remember that
there is a 16 hour time difference and some TV is 'tape delayed'
while the Internet us real time.
CBC TV -
Canada's Official Broadcaster.

***** Look at these shortcuts to
popup menu for the Sports or the
Athletes.
If you plan to have a class look at specific events, check
schedule at:
http://cbc.ca/olympics/07_schedule/index.html
I understand that CBC wants to cover many events 'live' which
means lost sleep to see a 'good days' events.
CBC does not list complete results for
events.
