Screen Stars
Bradford How
is a new VJ at Much Music TV. He was greatly supported by
"The Free Press," "The Sun," and the local TV
stations of Winnipeg. He started in April 2000. He was quoted as
saying "To all you Canadians out there, maybe you love me,
maybe you don't, but your going to be seeing a lot of me. I want
to say thank you, and introduce you to my stinky armpits."
Ellie Harvey of
the New Adams Family a spin of the original Adams Family. She has
worked on the set of the movie "Happy Gilmore." She has
also worked many stars from Hollywood.
Musical
Stars
The Watchmen
are
known all threw out North America, mainly in Canada. The band is
from Winnipeg. They have released four CD's. All their songs are
full of emotion and energy, like "Stereo," and
"Brighter Hell."
The New Meanies
earlier this January broke away from Virgin Music Canada. They
have been nominated for two Juno awards. In the categories of
Best New Group and Best Album. They have only one album out at
the moment.
The Crash Test Dummies
started back in the 80's in small clubs in Winnipeg. They are
known in the UK and North America. They have Four CD's and more
to come in the near future. How did they get the name ?????? It
was a high school, and it stuck.
Burton Cummings
- can you "Guess Who" this is. Yes, he is the lead
singer of the "Guess Who", everyone in their thirties
does ask your parents (I did). He has earned thirty-three
songwriting awards in his lifetime. I was at garage sale looking
for LP's and found some of his old records like 'Up Close and
Alone'.
McMaster and James
are a pop duo that is already making chats, and they have only
been out for a couple months. They first met in a local recording
studio. They first started to perform together at lunch times at
high school. Luke McMaster and Rob James old duo band was called
2Face.
Randy Bachman
is 'taking care of business'! He was the original singer in the
"Guess Who" but was kicked out when Burton Cummings
came in. So he started up a basement band, soon it became
"Bachman Turner Overdrive" (BTO). On February 6, 200,
"BTO" appeared on the Simpsons TV show.

Chris Jericho is a pro wrestler from the WWF, he always loved
wrestling so he decided to become a wrestler. After graduating
from College, he left for Calgary to train for a future career.
He has wrestled in Japan, Mexico, all over the USA, and Canada.
Susan Auch is a two time Olympic silver medalist. She is a Olympic speed skater, she has competed in Lillehammer and in Nagano. She
is one of four women to break 500 meters in 39 seconds. This is
due to her amazing technique which brought her so many victories.
She trained at Sargent Park Oval which is next door to our
school.
Sheldon Kennedy is a former NHL player. He has played for St. Louis,
Detroit, Calgary, and Boston. Now he plays for the Manitoba Moose
in the IHL. He has started the Sheldon Kennedy Foundation For
Abused Kids. He has raised over 3 million dollars for his
organization.
Ed Belfor was born in Carman, Manitoba and is a goalie for the
Dallas Stars, who almost won the Stanley cup this year. They won
it last year (1999).
Mike Keane is a NHL player for the Dallas Stars. He has played for
Montreal, Colorado, and New York.
