I chose to do my project on the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) because I wanted to learn more about one of Canada's original forms of transportation. During the making of my Heritage Fair project, I learned many new things about my family's history and connection with the CPR history.

While doing my project, I found out that my Dad had located the documents from the CPR Scandel, and, that my great great grandfather was one of the workers for the CPR. The CPR Scandel came about because Abbott's office stole the papers that revealed a large campaign contribution by Allan to the1872 Conservative general election in Canada.
Today, the CPR is still running, and its a great way to travel throughout Canada. VIA rail is the passenger service and CP Rail is the freight service.
