The Process Storywriting Puppets Sharing

Grade One Grade Nine Animal Stories

Grade Nine and Grade One students  at Sargent Park worked in pairs to learn about  the parts of a good story and then to write an animal story.  The students were paired on the advice of their teachers and then filled out a survey on some of their hobbies and interests.

Through a number of meetings the Grade One and Grade Nine students  talked about character and setting and then read a book chosen by the Grade One students.

The final result of all these meetings was an animal story from each of the students and the creation of a puppet which was made in the form of the main character in the Grade One story.
