Antacid Experiment Problem: What will happen if antacid is mixed with water? Hypothesis: The antacid will sink to the bottom of the bowl. Materials: - 5 grams of antacid - 100 ml. of water - 2 glass bowls - measuring cup Procedure: 1. Put 100 ml. of water into glass bowl. 2. Measure 5 grams of antacid , observe and record appearance. 3. Add 5 grams of antacid to water. 4. Observe and record the results. Observations: Antacid dissolved in the water. Fuzzy, lots of bubbles. It has no smell. Color white .The bubbles are tiny. After an hour the bubbles are coming up (tiny). The water is clear. The antacid sank to the bottom of the bowl.
