Once upon a time there was a great horned owl. He was a great horned owl leader. His name was Barbie Joe. One day he was hovering above a meadow when he heard a gunshot. About three seconds later he heard another shot. His heart was hurting so he looked at the left side of his chest. In it was a hole made by a bullet. Everything was starting to get blurry so Barbie Joe decided to fly to the ground. Everything turned black and the leader of the owls was dead. The owls all had a funeral for Barbie Joe. All the kids were bored and started to steal food from the dessert table. In the middle of the funeral all the owls heard a rustling noise coming from the bushes.

“Go alert the owl army at once!” said the new owl  leader. An owl ran away to get the owl army, but before he could leave, the U.S. army jumped out of the bushes.    Meanwhile the owl army was playing on there Wiis. They were playing a game where you had to cough up owl pellets at the U.S. army. The owl army had lots of enemies. Its enemies were guns, traps, road kills and electrocutions. At the funeral, the new owl leader yelled,  “Owl army! Come to the funeral at once!”  He had yelled it so loud that he fell down. The owl army heard the call for help and were at the funeral in a flash. The first thing they did was cough up owl pellets at the U.S. army, but that didn’t help so the leader of the owls said, “Rapid fire!”  Soon the U.S. army started to cry. Everyone was amazed. None of them had seen a human cry before. Finally the smallest owl spoke up.  “Why are you crying?” she asked.  “We are crying because these owl pellets you are coughing up at us hurt,” said the sergeant of the U.S. army. Even the baby owls looked amazed.  “Tricked ya!”  said the sergeant, and they started to fight again.

The battle raged on for a year and then finally stopped when Joe the lynx decided to help out. He charged the U.S. army and they ran away as fast as their legs could carry them.  “Thank you,” said Jillian the owl, and she and Joe decided to get married.  The wedding was a huge success until the U.S. navy jumped from the bushes.  Joe the lynx charged again and the U.S. navy ran away just like the U.S. army. Everyone lived happily ever after.
