By Mairin

Once upon a time a girl named Milly was sleeping at night. Then she heard a sound. Then it stopped. In the morning she went outside to look. It was a very nice day at Woodlands. Milly saw two Barred Owls. They flew down and started to walk around her. Millie went home. But the owls followed  her. Milly walked into her house and told her mom and dad what had happened. They said she could keep the owls but they had to be outside in a cage. First she hugged them both and then she said,

“Thank you soooooo much! I will go get a cage.”

She ran outside with a cage and put the two owls in it. Finally her mom called her in for dinner and then it was time for bed. In the middle of the night she heard hooting and growling. She ran outside and saw an arctic fox attacking her owls. She ran inside and grabbed a gun and shot the arctic fox. She fixed up the owls. In a week, they were all better and Milly put them back in the wild and went home.  When she got home, the owls were there too. Milly looked closely and the owls were smiling at her.
