The Legend of Why the Sun Shines

I am now going to tell you the legend of why the sun shines. Once a man named Bear-Paw decided to go for a walk one morning to see the beautiful flowers in the forest. As Bear-Paw was walking he bumped into a man. The man looked straight at him, and just stood there .The man said, "Don’t be afraid , my name is Wolf-Heart and the creator sent me to make light. However, I can only do this if you get three things for me : 2 lady bugs, some spices, and a few berries". So Bear-Paw went to the forest and brought back 2 lady bugs. Wolf-Heart took the 2 ladybugs, stepped on them and said "I took the blood of this ladybug so that the sun can be yellow. Then Bear-Paw went to the tipi, got some herbs, crunched them up and gave them to Wolf-Heart and said, "here are the spices you asked for". Wolf-Heart said, "these spices are to help the people who look into the sun and get eyes that sting.  Then Bear-Paw walked to the bush and took some berries, then said, "I got the berries". Wolf-Heart said, "these are for the sweat happiness the people feel when they look into the sun. And that is the legend of how the sun got its shine!
