Last year, over 4800 schools in Canada held a Terry Fox Run for cancer research, a number representing one out of every three schools in the country. While towns in Canada all hold their Terry Fox Run on the same Sunday in September, Canadian schools hold their Terry Fox Run on separate days – they traditionally do not coordinate the dates. In 2004, over one million Canadian students walked, ran, or wheeled in the Terry Fox Run. |
||||
|
To date, more than $400 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name through the annual Terry Fox Run, held across Canada and around the world |
