S1 - S4 Science

New Curriculum 

New science curricula based on the Canada-Wide Framework is now in place at all grades 1 - Senior 2.  

Senior 3 Physics was introduced in 2002-2003 on a trial basis and is mandatory for 2003-2004. Senior 4 Physics is being introduced on a trial basis in 2003-2004.

Senior 3 Current Topics in Science was introduced on a trial basis in pilot schools in 2002-2003 and is continuing in a "phase II" pilot in 2003-2004. The number of schools involved has increased for phase II.

Senior 3 Biology will be introduced on a trial basis in the fall of 2003.

Senior 3 Chemistry is in the writing stage.
