Physical Education/Health Education

AIM:            To provide students with planned and balanced        
                    programming to develop the knowledge, skill and
                    attitudes for physically active and healthy lifestyles.

VISION:     Physically active and healthy lifestyles for all students.


This curriculum is in the implementation stage.

Following are the Minimum Recommended Time Allotments for Winnipeg School Division:

Grades K-6:    10% of instructional time
                           (of this, 75% is Physical Education, 25% is Health Education)

Grades 7-8:     8% of instructional time
                           (of this, 75% is Physical Education, 25 % is Health Education)

S1-S2:              1 credit/year for a total of 2 credits
                           (of this, 50% is Physical Education, 50% is Health Education)
