Media Booking

LSS Media Booking contains over 4,000 kits and videos to support the Winnipeg School Division curriculum, as well as various types of equipment.   It is located in the Prince Charles Education Resource Center at 1075 Wellington Avenue.

Pathfinders point the way to current professional resources on relevant education topics.  New acquisitions are being added to the collection continuously, and WSD professional staff are welcome to suggest materials for consideration.

Library Support Services is responsible for monitoring Annual Video Site Licences which extend public performance rights to cover purchased, rented or borrowed feature films in video format by producers/distributors covered by the licences.

Also of interest to staff of the Winnipeg School Division is Cable in the Classroom, an initiative by Canada's cable companies to provide copyright-cleared, commercial-free, educationally relevant television programming for Canadian schools at no cost. The website contains information on content, scheduling and resources.
