Details:
The Grade Three class was starting a "Rainforest" unit. This was an opportunity to tie in sketching in Art and the drawing program on the computer.

The students started their work in the classroom with large pictures of rainforest birds and mammals, observing and sketching on paper. The next day in the computer lab they used the same pictures to draw on the computer. All the pictures were displayed together, as a unit, to show the different methods of illustrating used in the project.

Extensions:  Plants could also be included in this activity.
