Read from Laura Ingalls Wilder's  Little House in the Big Woods (American perspective) picture book and discuss the construction and contents of a log cabin. Brainstorm construction materials, available resources to pioneers, and  transportation of materials.  If time permits introduce concept of communal BEES.
