In 500 words, write about the "Life and Times" of a person who has made a significant contribution to human kind in the past or present century. This person can be a world figure or a local hero that has impacted on the lives of others and somehow made this place a better world to live in.

Your report should include2 sections (approx.250 words each):

• biographical data - may include early life, important dates, family history, career, education and background information.
• contribution to human kind - humanitarian efforts, medical discoveries, inventions, heroic deeds et al.

The report should be double spaced with standard formats including a reference list. Basic conventions of block quotes with end citations (APA) is acceptable. Special formatting is allowed as long as it does not detract from the clarity and presentation of the writing.
