This activity is contained on one Paint file,
Treasure2. For use on a network, this file should be installed in a
shared, read only directory on the server (WSD#1 uses S:\2Student). If you wish to
download this file, click on this link treasure2.bmp.
To save computer time, I would suggest photocopying the blank map and handing it out to
students to create their maps during class time before they come to the computer lab.
After launching Paint and opening the file, click on the text tool from the tool bar (A).
Create a large text box on the right side, or below the map. Type in the instructions of
your treasure hunt. Save the file to drive:T on your server. Have the students
open up another students treasure hunt and have them solve it. Remind students to
save their work often!
