Description:
Mudball Wall is adapted from the
commercial software program “The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis” by
Broderbund. The software comes with no instructions and learners must accept
the challenge of figuring out how to play. There are five colours and five
shapes, several of which fit in specified locations on the Mudball Wall. The
learner must launch the coloured balls of mud into a wall. First they stamp
the mud ball with a shape and they choose a colour to go with the shape. The
colours and shapes create a pattern on the wall. The learner must deduce
the correct combination to send a mudball flying onto the right numbered
square. Each correct answer increases the height of the elevator. The object
is to help the little zoombinis ride the elevator to the top. There are
three levels to the game. Each level increases in difficulty, encouraging
the learner to solve more complicated problems. The fewer moves the player
takes to move the elevator, the faster they win the game. The player is
limited in the number of moves for each level.
