Computer Lab

The Computer Lab at Isaac Brock School is open to students from 8:30 - 4:00 on school days 2, 4 and 6.   There are 32 computers in the lab.  We also have a smaller SMART board lab that houses 7 computers and our SMART board. In addition there is a small pod of 4 computers in the library.  All labs are connected to the World Wide Web.   Students have access to digital cameras and a digital video camera.

Using the new Literacy for Information, Communication and Technology Continuum (ICT) from the Province of Manitoba, students from N to 9 participate in a variety of projects and activities in the computer labs. The activities in the computer lab tie in with learning in the classroom to create an infusion of technology in student learning. Students from grades 4-8 are also are booked in for 40 minute periods once a cycle to work on typing skills. Nursery to grade 3 classes have regular times with the our computer mentor to practice and learn technological skills.
