Phys-ed / Intramurals

At Isaac Brock School, our Physical Education program focuses on fun and fitness through a variety of sports, games and activities.

The games and activities played at the primary level aid in the development of the transport, manipulative and balance skills.  These skills become the foundation for sports and activities played in later grades.  Some activities include soccer, fitness circuits, volleyball, dodgeball, polo, floor hockey, basketball, ringette, cross-country skiing, badminton, softball, gymnastics and folk dance.

Intramural Program:

Elementary students may participate in mini-volleyball, soccer, low-organized games, floor hockey, and badminton.

All students in grades 4-9 have the opportunity to participate in noon-hour intramural activities.

Junior High Intramurals involve all of the junior high teachers, some elementary teachers, teaching assistants, administrators, and caretakers.  Over 95% of the students participate in fun and competitive activities such as indoor soccer, bombardment and basketball relay.

Our field day, which takes place in May, involves every junior high student in fun and challenging activities.

Interschool Program

The Isaac Brock Junior High students competed in the divisional cross-country meets held during the months of September and October.

The grade 6 students have the opportunity to compete in interschool soccer, volleyball, softball, and fit-run.

At Isaac Brock we pride ourselves in providing all students with an equal opportunity to participate in all school athletic activities.
