English
Garden Grove offers traditional instruction in English, in single or combined grade
groupings, for Kindergarten through Grade Six. Approximately
half of the student body
is enrolled in the English Program.
French Immersion
Half of Garden Grove students are enrolled in French Immersion classes from
Kindergarten through Grade Six. Students in this program receive instruction in French for
approximately 80% of the day. The remaining 20% is comprised of one hour of English
Language Arts and classes conducted by Music, Physical Education, Computer and Library
specialists. Classrooms are in single and combined grade groupings. A half-day French
Kindergarten is offered as part of this program.
Nursery
The Nursery Program at Garden Grove runs from September to
June. This full day program
provides four-year-old children with a positive and secure introduction to school.
The
Nursery Program is offered in both the morning and afternoon.
EYBC
(Early Years Behavioural Centre)
Garden Grove School is the home of the Winnipeg School Division North District’s EYBC
Program. The purpose of the EYBC is to develop personal management skills in Grade 1-3
students who are having severe behavioural difficulties in the regular classroom setting.
Students are referred to this program by their home schools. It is the goal of the EYBC to
integrate these students back into a regular school program.
