School Description École Garden Grove School is a "dual track" elementary school located in the northwest corner of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Garden Grove offers programs from Kindergarten to Grade Six in both English and French. Opened in 1981, our one storey building is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood across from a man-made lake where hundreds of geese and ducks gather each fall and spring. Our well designed school was built to accommodate 550 students, with a current population of approximately 500 students. Besides the usual contained classrooms, the Garden Grove facility includes a 5000 sq. ft. gymnasium, a spacious multi-purpose room and one of the largest elementary school libraries in the Winnipeg School Division. There is a ten acre open area city park adjacent to the school playground, which gives our students ready access to well maintained baseball and soccer fields. |
