- Comprehensive Assessment Program
Research and Evaluation coordinates the collection of the CAP
student assessment data and prepares student, classroom, school, and
Division level reports of the data.
- Parent Surveys
The Division conducts a survey or phone survey of parents every two years. In
May
2004 the survey covered a range of topics, including
school and community relations, school climate, effectiveness,
parent comments, etc.
- Grade 12 (S4) Student Surveys
Research and Evaluation conducts an annual survey of
grade 12 (S4) students in May. Highlights
of May 2003
- School Demographics - The latest report was produced in the Fall of 2005.
It contains information on
student demographics, student migrancy, graduates
attending university and Red River College, student withdrawals,
2001 Census highlights,
and 2002 Family Income data. The report is available upon
request in writing to the address above or e-mail your request to:

- Enrolment Projections
School enrolment projections are prepared by March each year.
- School Catchment Area Analysis
Each year student addresses are mapped using computer software and
an analysis is conducted to determine from where each school is
drawing each students. The information is used for facilities
planning and enrolment projections.
- School Community Surveys
When time is available, Research and Evaluation assists with school and
community surveys.
- Space Utilization in Schools
Research and Evaluation maintains a database of school room-use that
is used for facilities planning.
- Housing Registry
Research and Evaluation maintains a map-based on-line
searchable housing registry. The housing registry is available
to all and is intended to help families find
housing within their local school catchment area. Families
should contact their local school for assistance. The map also
contains information on Winnipeg Transit, day cares, etc.
