Collège Churchill
Community Report
2006-2007
Collège Churchill is a grade 7 to grade 12 school. We are proud to be the flagship immersion milieu center of the Division, and the success of our graduates attests to our strong academic tradition within a caring atmosphere. As we are a small school located within a larger school complex, our students are able to take advantage of the small school atmosphere with large school opportunities.
Our priorities this year are:
to be motivated, active and engaged learners
to improve French Language skills
to continue to integrate technology
to foster Aboriginal education
We have much to be proud of and to celebrate. The following are but a few examples:
our committed staff, students and parents
our many sports teams and volunteers (students broke Provincial records)
our excellent bands and choirs (award winners again this year)
our well planned Remembrance Day service – with parental attendance
our enjoyable Winter Concert
our wonderful talent shows
our Fine Arts Night
our Mini-Olympics
our winners at Festival des Vidéastes
our leadership students
our winners at Expo-Science and Concours d’art Oratoire (two students – Provincial Champs one grade 12 student represented us at the Nationals in Ottawa)
our Drug Awareness, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Good Decision Making classes and presentations
our well-attended Aboriginal Feast on June 12, 2007
our winners in various writing competitions (Optimist Club)
our Human Rights award winner
our Lieutenant Governor Youth Experience Program Trip Winners
our Women of Distinction award winner.
What an action packed year!!
Merci/Thank you to Staff, Students and Parents for all the hard work and support.
